warning: cuteness overload

so its widely known that i am not a cat person. i don't hate them or anything i just hate the allergies i get from being within a 500ft radius of them. and most are so anti social and scaredy-cats (pun intended) they just don't sound like a fun pet to have.
BUT, kittens.... oh, kittens ima a sucker for.
i pass off the baby im holding-- no... that wont even suffice. I would put down my bowl of ICE CREAM to hold a kitten! they are just cute lil fluff balls of adorableness from heaven. and ive always said that if they made a mini-kitty i would totally get one.

well... they've done it. and just in time for my birthday.

no, im not talking about no dwarf cats either (those little guys look like someone took a cigar cutter to their legs. freaks me out!). they are toy and tea cup sized cats! no bigger than a woman's size 8 shoe and over 7lbs:









































and June totally needs a little friend to play with. look how bored she is with her chew toys...

lately this has been my hearts song. but my head reminds me how selfish id be just to take off and i realize it would be in fear ...at this point.

ive worked years to get to the position im at right now. and when i thought i was finally going to get my answer i received an answer far worse than a "yes" or a "no". it was to wait a little longer. see over 1,000 people applied for the school i wanted but they only take somewhere around 30 transfer students. i dont know how it goes really but i wasnt declined from the school. there just wasnt enough room to fit me in anymore i guess when they got to my application. and now, on monday, i will find out if they have a spot for me. now im to the point in my head where im just cussing up a storm of frustration. the semester starts in one month! but seriously, anyone who got into that program would be stupid not to take it. unless they got into UCLA or USC's film school. so im not getting my hopes high on there being a spot for me.

i dont want to sound ungrateful but i really do want to be some where new so badly. i want an adventure. i need to explore.

Bryan, notorious for always getting injured and being an all around amazing person, got acid in his eyeball at work. check out his pupil....

ya, not good.
his sight isn't 100% yet so keep praying that God heals it asap and that this doesn't ruin his eye.

now, for those of you who haven't met Bryan before, let me tell you, he is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. always down to hang out, help out, can make anyone laugh, dance machine, and would give you the shirt off his back. sweet dude, ya? i know (and he is single ladies. just throwin' that out there)
so, with the help of nat, we made him an eye patch with some recycled suitcase material, a headband and paint.

Jellies

few things hold my full attention like a jelly fish can. they just completely fascinate me. i mean they are a living thing that is clear, no bones or any other organs that are barely visible, and nothing like anything else.
nat, linds and i went to the aquarium on friday because after 5 its half price and they are open till 10pm. here are a few i took with my iphone. no editing. they are just that beautiful looking. i took some with my holga but have yet to develop it.

Karaoke night!

Here are some highlights from when we took over kelly's pub last thursday.
just another reason why my friends are completely amazing.


this thursday is white trash night or something... not sure but im kinda bummed im going to miss it. kinda not because my beau is back in town for the night! i surprised myself by missing him already. i mean, i knew i would. i just didnt think it would be within the first week he left. but that could be because over the last week ive had a lot of fun and i felt like he missed out (even though i know hes been having many good times on the road and is not missing out in comparison). anyhoo, keep sleeping giant in your thoughts and prayers as they are out right now.

june is scared of swimming in the pool with us when she cant touch the bottom. so i got her a kiddie pool. she loves it. and so do the bees.
